Printing with Windows in Potsdam-Golm

There are 3 different networks to print from. The table below lists these networks and their corresponding IP addresses.

Installation Steps

  1. Open the 'Settings', navigate to 'Bluetooth & devices', select 'Printers & scanners' and click on 'Add device'.
  2. Wait for the option 'The printer that I want isn't listed' and click 'Add manually'.
  3. Select the 'Select a shared printer by name' option.
  4. Click the link for the print server on your network in the table above, a new browser tab will open.
  5. Select the printer you want to use from the list.
  6. Copy the page URL (at the top) and paste it into the text field in the 'Add Printer' window.
  7. Click on 'Next' and Windows will attempt to connect.
  8. If successful, it will ask for the driver.
  9. Download the drivers for your printer from here: https://wolke7.aei.mpg.de/s/pzdg8a3WBjyiWNM
  10. Extract the ZIP Archive into a folder on your desktop.
  11. In the 'Add Printer Wizard' window, select 'Have Disk', click 'Browse', navigate to the extracted folder.
  12. Select any .inf file and click 'Open'.
  13. Click 'OK'.
  14. For Lexmark and Kyocera, leave the default selected driver; for HP, select the v7.3.0 driver.
  15. Click 'OK' to install the printer.
  16. Once done, the printer will show up in the 'Printers & scanners' list.

Troubleshooting

Printing with Windows in Hannover

Go to file server fs1 and open folder \software\Drivers\Printer\RicohMPC4504. Double click on "your" executable printer file.
